Lobby and 2nd-floor renovation of the Luxottica Group’s corporate office in Manhattan, New York, NY. Relocation of lobby services in order to keep office building operational, while additional floors were being renovated simultaneously. High end finishes with long lead times from Europe. Daily communication and onsite meetings with ownership to work through design changes and value engineering opportunities. Many changes and decisions needed to be approved by Luxottica’s US team and HQ in Europe. Only one service elevator fed the entire building; emergency stairs under construction during the project. Logistics were challenging as multiple phases of the building construction were in progress. The feasibility and constructability of design elements required continuous consulting and insight from C1’s team and our subcontractors.
